The Warren - Our Reviews
I am very impressed with the overall care and knowledge of the staff at the Warren. The carers, nurses, cleaners, office staff, management, activities organisers, cooks and maintenance men are friendly, helpful and welcoming, making the whole experience of visiting and having a relative living there, pleasant and above all, fun! I would not hesitate to recommend The Warren to someone looking for a good nursing home.
Fantastic nursing home staff are very attentive and friendly. They take great care and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend.
My mum has been at the Warren for 2 years now ,she has reicieved excellent care from all of the staff especially from Hayley and Raquel . The management team are also very approachable and are sympathetic to any concerns.
The Warren staff and management are very caring and helpful. We are always made to feel welcome and our requests for information are always responded to promptly. My brother is very well looked after here.
The Warren is a small, friendly and welcoming nursing home. The staff are skilled, kind and attentive. As a family we are kept well informed and any requests, concerns or questions are addressed in good time. Family and friends are made very welcome when visiting.
We moved our mother to The Warren nursing home after our father died in order that she could be nearer to one of her sons. She has advanced dementia and is immobile and had previously been in a larger purpose built home. Moving her to The Warren has we believe proved to be beneficial her, it is small, well organised and feels like a ’home’ The staff have taken time to try and get to know and understand her needs, interests and as a result we find that despite her advanced dementia The Warren provides a really good ‘home’ for mother, one we trust and can rely on. We very much appreciate the help and support of all the staff at The Warren in caring for her.
All the staff were amazing during Jamie's short stay with the home, the love and compassion which was shown to us and Jamie was incredible. Simon and all the staff were a comfort to us during Jamie's final hours . Thank you

From the day my dad was admitted to the warren he received impeccable care. All staff treated him like family and i cant thank you enough for the dignity and compassion you have shown him and us.
Not really a review as such.
Just to say a big Thank You to Kervin (one of your lovely employees) for looking after my phone today because I stupidly left it on the bus!
I really appreciate it. I'm very lucky.
Also I'm sorry about my very annoying ringtone! 😁

Bidna House - Our Reviews
GOOD Based on 6 reviews Posted on Kate RoscoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I cannot emphasise enough how stellar the care is at Bidna House. My family member has been a resident here since Easter. He has very complex neurological issues which change by the hour sometimes. I am always extremely suspicious and cautious of any setting he is in due to previous neglect and negligence. However, I can report that he is SO cared for here. It is a relief to know he is treated as an individual, a human being! -and not just a let's do the minimum/keep him alive/tick the box 'service user'. His wishes are respected, and the staff converse with him all the time about what he'd like to do that day despite him being very difficult to understand. But additionally, they will do their utmost best to make sure what he wants to do happens. Even canoeing!! The manager sends me photos almost every day of his activities. A lot of care homes start off like this, and never keep it up because the activities stop and the care provided becomes a minimum. Not at Bidna. This guy has been to more festivals this summer than I have in my 20s. He goes to a farm a couple of days a week. There's socials and discos. There's no way I could provide him with all of these outings, clubs and opportunities. He fully has a better social life than me. Previously he's been in a setting where the staff didn't even answer the phone. Ever. At Bidna he can call me whenever he wants. Staff always answer the phone 24 / 7. I even impromptu get video calls. When you arrive to visit a staff member will always come out to greet you. I have doorstepped them a few times and my family member has always been well dressed, clean and in very good spirits. The manager Hayley really is so invested in the residents living their happiest fullest lives. She was the first person in 15 years who really listened to us both when we talked about care goals and what outcomes we'd like. The staff are all so friendly, polite and seem happy. A few I spoke to have been there a long time. No staff are outside having a smoke or on their personal phones which I have seen so many times in other settings. The facilities are lovely. The gardens are beautiful and residents are free to wander around them. There are also chickens, ducks, and I've seen a few cats and a dog. The house is spacious and my relative's room is always clean. Its near the local swimming pool and beaches. He's been on many many walks which he enjoys. If you are new or well versed in care home settings, rest assured that Bidna is a stable and SAFE place for your loved one where they will be respected, and cared for in so many ways. Edited to add: all these photos of my relative have been sent to me by staff across just a few weeks Edit June 2024 He's been here a year now. I have the same high level of contact from the manager and staff; regular photos and decision meets etc, and now he is taking surfing lessons. He's made absolutely unimaginable and wonderful progress. Glad to say he has put the 15kg he lost due to neglect at his previous setting back on with regular outings to his favourite Wetherspoons. Thank you Bidna House, your staff are really good people with kind hearts and endless patience, it's a dream team of staff who are completely meant to be in the roles they have.Posted on A SimmonsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wonderful Team! My sibling was relocated to Bidna House after becoming very ill. They has been living there for almost 6 months and the progress she has made so far has been astounding! We as a family have struggled for years to fine a place that would suit our loved one whilst she is in recovery. After many placements we finally found Bidna House, and we are so glad we did. The Team at Bidna our without a doubt the most incredible care team we (and my sibling) could ask for. They offer top quality support and are dedicated to really helping the residents to live as independently and as autonomous as they can. Communication between family and care team is key in order to support a vulnerable loved one. Bidna have really focused hard on this to help us stay connected to our family member making sure we get regular updates and reassurance as and when needed. Visitation and day trips out are encouraged and have been easy to organise and plan with the help of the care team. They go above and beyond to make sure the residences stay active and engaged within their community i.e. day trips/drives, voluntary work, club nights, shopping and coffee trips. The place itself is set in a wonderful location and the house is well equipped - doubles bedrooms, clean bathrooms, games/living room, communal dining area, tv room, large (beautiful garden)... even chickens and a dog!Posted on Sarah CTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
